The Equalizer

Rating: 7.7

The Equalizer is a film pumped full of action and great fighting skills. The film is pretty much Denzel Washington beating up a bunch of people because well It all started when someone he knew got beaten up pretty bad and he gives them chances and they just laugh. What I find amazing is the way he plans It all out with his watch and times it to get it perfect. The only thing that gets annoying is some of the fighting sounds to me sometimes they sound fake and I would like it to sound a little more real if you understand what I mean. Denzels performance is overall great he does a few good speeches however wanted to see more off Chloe Moretz who played Teri you only get to see her at start and right at the end been great to see more of her acting skills and take a bigger part. The film was pretty much fast passed however there was a few slow motion moments that did not need to be there and would of worked well going at normal speed however when he does the thing with the watch and it goes into slow motion is great kinda like what they did in one of Sherlock Holmes fighting sense. When all goes into slow motion most of the time they do a close up 360 of Denzel as he plans what he is going to do and how he is going to do it most of the film is close up just like when he is lighting all the oil on there its all in slow motion as he walks and the camera is close up and in background its just all burning up kinda the same at the end in the fight when the water is going off it starts at a close up of side of his face with water dripping off and slowly turns into a full body shot when he was a staple gun . Its a great film to watch at night and its serious with lots of action.
